Films of the United States Government

Works of the United States Government have no US copyright (17 U.S.C. 105). This registry lists 3,638 government films that Public.Resource.Org transferred to the Internet Archive from the National Archives, the Department of Defense and the National Technical Information Service, and says for each whether the record names a federal creating body. It is a separate track from the commercial registry, because the evidence is different: not a renewal search, but the archive's own record of who made the film.
