SCIENTISTS WORKING ON PROJECT LACIE ARE EXPERIMENTING WITH LANDSAT IMAGERY TO ESTIMATE CROP PRODUCTION ON A WORLDWIDE BASIS. IN ADDITION, SATELLITE INFORMATION PROVIDES A COMPREHENSIVE VIEW OF OUR FOREST LANDS, IMAGES WHICH MAY HELP IMPROVE THE MANAGEMENT OF FORESTS.
