Series: Motion Picture Films from "United News" Newsreels, compiled 1942 - 1945. Part 1, hordes of British and 8th Air Force planes bomb Dresden by day and night. Part 2, Paris and other French towns are flooded. Part 3, Gen. de Gaulle decorates French and U.S. soldiers, including Generals Devers and Patch, in celebration of the triumph at Colmar. Part 4 shows Churchill and Field Marshall Alexander in Athens. Part 5, allied troops advance in Germany. Soldiers cross a river under a smoke screen.
