Department of the Army. Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations. U.S. Army Audiovisual Center. (ca. 1974 - 05/15/1984). This film chronicles the history of the First Cavalry Division--in World War II and Korea. Subsequent scenes chronicle the need, and eventual development, of a different kind of fighting force--the First Cavalry Division, Airmobile. This airmobile division provided four times the airlift of an infantry division, and had the ability to put one third of its 16,000 fighting men into the air at a time, with their equipment.
