National Archives - Hungarian Revolution - National Security Council. Central Intelligence Agency. (09/18/1947 - 12/04/1981). - This newsreel film was shot during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution against the Soviet communists. Footage shows scenes of Budapest, Soviet tanks as they moved in, relief supplies, and refugees as they fled Hungary.
