Space Navigation

Finding Not asserted
Not asserted: the record does not name the creating body; its local identifier places it in NARA record group 255 (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), a federal agency's records, which is evidence of federal origin but not proof of authorship, since agencies also filed acquired and captured footage (it belongs to the series 'Headquarters' Films Relating to Aeronautics', which may hold captured or acquired footage as well as government productions).
The record does not name a federal creating body, or names one alongside a private producer, a state body or a government corporation. Such a film may well be a government work, but this registry only says so when the record does.
